For me, LIVING WELL includes having balance and clean space (in my head, workspace and home.) Okay, I admit it: I’m a “can’t-believe-it’s-possible” fan of clean space freaks! I invite you to today’s challenge. In the next MINUTE, write 3 projects, to-do’s, physical or relationship clean-ups that you will feel ecstatic, or at least mildly joyful about clearing off your plate today. Do send comments on your results and how you felt AND how it impacted others in your life.
Today is a great day for building surge – ancy… a surge of energy to clear clutter! What will delight you to clear out today? Here’s a great photo of a techie’s home office. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mkosut/
Wow! Soooo clean. I don’t expect mine to be anything like that in this lifetime, and I do want more order, less searching for stuff, less grumbling about spending the last 1/2 hour looking for my glasses, keys, receipts, la-dee-dah!
Here’s excerpts from his simplifying space story: “I’ve spent the past few months figuring out how to scale down many of the things I don’t need and keeping my home office very minimal. That included ditching the large 30″ apple cinema display (it blocked my view out the windows!) and going back to a simple laptop.
I’ve hidden my speakers behind the desk and stream via an airport express station to minimize cord plugins.
I’ve purchased an all-in-one scanner/printer that fits comfortably in the sliding glass door cabinet for easy access.
For white board drawings, i use dry erase markers on the glass windows. I make sure i don’t write any sensitive data on them as they’re clearly visible from the street
I didn’t have any stones to put in the vase for the flower, so i ended up using all the silver change i could find. This works great because it looks interesting, but also makes it easy to ditch extra pocket change into it conveniently. No pennies allowed!”

Cleaning out and the the ultimate is downsizing. My office is totally portable and on wheels, as in RVing. All a person really needs is a computer, internet, printer and a little bit of filing. De-clutter, you’ll be glad you did!
Yes! Your truly mobile office is a great example of keeping it simple and focused!
Namaste

My filing is out of order
